Ready or not, here winter comes

It is that time of year once again, and this year, things cooled down early and fast. It was almost as if fall checked out this year, and decided to take a vacation. Trees changed their colors, but it many cases, it all happened within like 2 weeks as the leaves were are all but falling to their end of the year destination, your driveway or yard! Ready or not, here winter comes.

You would think we’d be used to the weather in Wisconsin by now, but it always seems like there is an ‘adjustment period’ every year, in which we need to get acclimated. But there is hope! Not on this year’s winter weather and temps, they are sure to be harsh and cold, but in the fact that we can now count the days and look forward to spring when all will be warm, and the birds will sing again!

There are things you can do to help the time go by much faster. One big suggestion……..take up a winter hobby! Many who have gotten into winter sports, such as snowmobiling, skiing, skating, and snowboarding, say that it has increased their love for the winter season, and it makes the winter months go by fast. Not interested in a winter sport? Take up a different inside hobby, and your time will still go by much faster than just staring out the window at the un-plowed and un-shoveled driveway.
