Cold Enough To Freeze Your Berries Off

With a Wind Chill Warning in affect for most of Wisconsin, you could say it’s cold enough to freeze your berries off! Well……..that kinda went with the theme of the image we are using with this story.

Temperatures off -20 to -50 are possible until noon on Thursday and with the winds and it takes less than 10 minutes to get frostbite in that cold, cold wind.

Many schools, businesses, and activities have been canceled through Thursday and with good reason.

Specialists suggest you do a few things to help you keep your home operational during these cold temperatures.

  1. Block any spots you can feel cold air coming in your house. Use a towel or plastic and cover any spots with cold air intruding into your home and your furnace will have a better chance to keep up.
  2. Keep your faucets dripping to help avoid pipes freezing during this bitter cold weather.

A warm-up is in the forecast for the Weekend…..we may even reach up to 30 degrees on Saturday and a whopping 39 by Sunday for a high temperature.
