- Comments Off on The Best Haunts in Wisconsin 2025 — Pick Your Favorite… If You Dare
Every October, Wisconsin transforms from “America’s Dairyland” into “America’s Scare-yland.” Haunted houses pop up like cursed corn stalks, and brave souls line up to scream, laugh, and sometimes cry a little (no shame).
This year, we asked YOU — the fearless (or foolish) Wisconsinites — to nominate your favorite haunted attractions across the state. You delivered. Now it’s time to crown the ultimate terror champion with the Wi Heart Award for “Best Haunted Attraction in Wisconsin 2025.”
Voting is open now through October 31st, 2025 at 11:59 PM CT, and you can vote once per day. So rally your friends, summon your spirits, and cast your votes like your life depends on it… because it kind of does. 🪦
👻 The 2025 Haunted Hall of Fame Nominees
Here’s the spine-tingling lineup you chose. Each haunt brings its own brand of nightmares — from theatrical horror to pitch-black panic rooms. Which one will claim the crown?
🧟 Burial Chamber — Neenah
One of Wisconsin’s biggest and baddest, Burial Chamber is a multi-haunt complex that takes terror seriously. Think elaborate sets, professional scares, and lines full of people pretending they’re “not scared.”
💀 Dominion of Terror — Sheboygan
For over 40 years, Dominion of Terror has been perfecting the art of “you’re definitely not sleeping tonight.” With four levels of fear and a loyal local following, this Sheboygan staple is a true scream factory.
😱 Green Bay Fear — Green Bay
Run by the Beja Shriners, Green Bay Fear mixes community spirit with demonic glee. Expect live music, fire performances, haunted woods, and the kind of jump scares that make you involuntarily salsa step.
🚢 Haunted Voyage — Mishicot
Ahoy, terrified travelers. Haunted Voyage blends river-side chills with immersive storytelling. If ghost ships, fog, and feeling like you’re being watched are your vibe — welcome aboard.
🧠 NineBelow Bar / Haunted Mini Golf — Milwaukee
Yes, it’s mini golf. Yes, it’s haunted. NineBelow brings a truly unique experience where you can putt your way through cursed greens and ghastly surprises, all with a drink in hand. It’s equal parts party and panic.
🧨 Terror on Rural Street — Hartford
Known for its top-tier set design and intense scares, Terror on Rural Street is a volunteer-run haunt that punches well above its weight. If you love a classic haunted house vibe done flawlessly — this is your pick.
🚂 Terror on the Fox — Green Bay
The legend. Terror on the Fox has been terrifying Wisconsinites for decades. You start with a haunted train ride, and it only gets worse (better?) from there. Professional production, movie-level sets, and scream-inducing actors make this a perennial favorite.
🛖 Terror Shed — Kewaskum
Don’t underestimate this small-town scream machine. Terror Shed is known for tight spaces, in-your-face scares, and that creeping feeling that someone’s breathing down your neck… because they are.
🌄 The Hill Has Eyes — Milwaukee
Milwaukee’s horror playground. The Hill Has Eyes is an outdoor scream park with multiple attractions, live entertainment, and a cult following. It’s gritty, loud, and absolutely relentless.
