Week 10 NFL Picks

So after a 2 week bye ourselves we are back with our picks. The great thing about not picking for two weeks is that we don’t care if we are wrong cause our stats are short for the year now. So let’s get right now into huh?

Teams on bye this week are Patriots, Chargers,  Texans, Colts, Redskins, and the Vikings and if you are thinking you have less games to watch this week than normal you do. There are two less games this week and last week then there have been all season due to the byes. Also, did anyone else notice that everyone else in the NFC North was on bye last week besides the Vikes? I mean there might be a controversy there…The Pack, Lions and the Bears were resting but the Vikes had to play but they won so whatever plan we had must have backfired.

By the way…isn’t this the most messed up season we’ve had in a long time. I mean the Cardinals have the best record, for a little while the Seahawks looked like they weren’t ever going to get it together….it was like living in opposite land. Over half the games this week have teams heavily favored to win. the Steelers, Broncos, Cardinals, Seahawks, Packers, Eagles, Cowboys and you could probably throw the Falcons in there. They were strongly favored but the first 7 are heavily favored which means there will be an upset this weekend. It just depends where. My ticket is the Dallas and Jacksonville game.

Skipping Thursday nights game cause we already know the outcome….

So this one got missed so real quick  Rams @ Cardinals I’m picking the Cards

At 1200 pm on CBS

5-3 Kansas City @ 5-3 Buffalo Bills

ESPN 9 Chiefs / 4 Bills

Machine Bills 53% likely to win

Vegas Chiefs -2

Me Bills

At 1200 pm on CBS

5-3 Miami Dolphins @ 6-2 (really 6-2 I mean….seriously??? who would have guessed that? I guess even a broken clock is right twice a day) Detroit Lions

ESPN 8 Dolphins / 5 Lions – I mean even the “experts” can’t get behind them and the Lions have a better record AND they are at home. The majority are going with the Dolphins. Even Vegas and The Machine can’t agree and even The Machine only gives the Dolphins a 5% better chance then 50/50. They might as well flip a coin.

Machine Dolphins 55% likely to win

Vegas Lions -2.5

Me Lions    I’m torn….the sports person in me thinks the Lions are gonna win but the Packer fan in me is screaming “NO!!! THEY HAVE TO LOSE!” The Lions just came off of a Bye but Calvin Johnson is back on Sunday and I think that’s going to make a huge difference so I gotta go with gulp…..the lions.

I’ll be more than happy to be wrong

1200 pm on FOX

6-3 Dallas Cowboys @ 1-8 Jacksonville Jaguars

ESPN 13 Cowboys

Vegas Cowboys -7

Machine Cowboys 58% likely to win

Me – Jacksonville

My gut is telling me Romo isn’t going to play well. I’m just saying that now yes, the Cowboys are having a good season. They haven’t started 6-3 in a long time. This time last year they were 5-5 and in 2012 4-5, so maybe just maybe it’s Romos time to shine, especially against a 1-8 Jacksonville squad. However, weirder things have happened and I just sense it’s gonna fall apart for one reason or another and that’s why I’m picking Jacksonville. No other reason than gut instinct.

1200 pm on Fox

4-4 San Francisco 49ers @ 4-4 New Orleans Saints

ESPN  1 49er / 12 Saints

Vegas Saints -5

Machine Saints 60% likely to win

Me  New Orleans

My New Orleans

California roots want me to pick the 9ers, but it’s not an easy place to play in as we all found out in when Green Bay went over. Considering New Orleans started 1-3 and bounced back and are sitting at the top of their division they are feeling pretty good and San Fran has fallen quite far and is feeling pretty crappy so I think this is New Orleans game to lose. Then again sometimes when you have nothing to lose that’s when you fight the hardest.

1200 pm on CBS

2-6 Tennessee Titans @ 5-4 Baltimore Ravens

ESPN 13 Ravens

Vegas Ravens -10

Machine Ravens 62% likely to win

Me Ravens

1200 pm on CBS

6-3 Pittsburgh Steelers @ 1-8 New York Jets

ESPN 13 Steelers

Vegas Steelers -6

Machine Steelers 60% likely to win

Me Steelers

1200 pm on Fox

2-6 Atlanta Falcons @ 1-7 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

ESPN 12 Falcons / 1 Buccaneers

Vegas Buccaneers -1.5

Machine Buccaneers 54% likely to win

Me Falcons

405pm on CBS

6-2 Denver Broncos @ 0-8 Oakland Raiders (anyone want to guess who everyone chose on this one?)

ESPN 13 Broncos 77% likely to win

Vegas Broncos -11.5

Machine Broncos

Me Broncos

but it’ll be really funny if Oakland beats them for some odd reason. It could happen. This could be that one game that everyone on Monday is saying “OMG can you believe that happened. I still can’t believe they beat them!” and the next week Oakland is back looking like two turds floating down the sewer. I would pick Oakland to win but I’m not stupid. I mean maybe if they were a 3-5 team or heck even had a coach.

325 pm on FOX

3-6 New York Giants @ 5-3 Seattle Seahawks

ESPN 13 Seahawks

Vegas Seahawks -9

Machine Seahawks 66% likely to win

Me Seahawks – if they were playing in New York I would have chosen New York but I just can’t bring myself to do it when they are playing in Seattle. It just the darn crowd.

730 pm on NBC

3-5 Chicago Bears @ 5-3 Green Bay Packers

ESPN 13 Packers

Vegas Packers -7.5

Machine Packers 67% likely to win

Me Packers

730 pm on ESPN

3-5-1 Carolina Panthers @ 6-2 Philadelphia Eagles

ESPN 13 Eagles

Vegas Eagles -6

Machine Eagles 58% likely to win

Me Eagles
