Halloween fans across Wisconsin, it’s finally time to unleash your spooky side! The Halloween House Decorating Contest 2025 has arrived, inviting residents statewide to transform their homes into haunted masterpieces for a chance to win the coveted WI Heart Award.
About the Contest
You may remember that this contest was announced in 2024—but unfortunately, due to unexpected health issues, we weren’t able to follow through last year. The good news? It’s back in full force for 2025, and we’re more excited than ever to see the creativity that Wisconsinites bring to life.
Whether your style is eerie and elegant, playful and family-friendly, or downright bone-chilling, this contest is your chance to share your vision and show the whole state your Halloween spirit. Participants are asked to submit a 30-second video that captures the magic (or the fright) of their decorated home.
How to Enter
Joining is simple:
- Decorate Your House – Go all-out and bring your haunted vision to life.
- Record a Short Video – Keep it around 60 seconds and show off your spooktacular display.
- Submit Your Entry – Fill out the contest form and include a link to your video.
- If posting on social media, tag your entry with #WIHalloweenDecor2025 and #wiheartaward.
Voting and Prizes
Wisconsin residents will decide the winner! Voting will take place on the contest website, where fans can watch every entry and vote for their favorite haunted home.
The top entry will receive a Wisconsin Gift Bag of Goodies and the distinguished WI Heart Award, chosen by the community. The winning home will also be featured on Found In Wisconsin, along with a special look into the inspiration behind the decorations.
