Names Released in Fatal Shooting on Monday in Oshkosh
The Oshkosh Police Department has released the names of both the officers and the victim of a fatal shooting earlier this week in Oshkosh.
While responding to the scene of a possible burglary officers Kyle Roberts and Aaron Achterberg reportedly fired upon a car as it was heading for them in what seemed like a malicious attempt to hit them. The car got away to be found a few blocks away where the suspect, Isaiah Tucker, 28, was found to be hiding in a nearby shed. The officers tried to save his life, but Tucker died later at the hospital.
The exact cause of death and the role that the officers may have played in the shooting have not yet been released, however both officers have been placed on administrative leave pending the investigation.
