The Green Bay Packers’ Training Camp kicked off on Monday, but one notable player was absent from the practice field

Quarterback Jordan Love did not participate as he awaits the completion of his contract extension.

Love’s agency informed the Packers of this decision on Saturday. However, Packers General Manager Brian Gutekunst remains optimistic that a deal will be finalized soon.

“Yeah, I think so, but you never know. We are working really hard to get it done, and I think it is really important for us. At the same time, the thing I have confidence in is, we both want the same thing. We want Jordan here for a long time, and to give that stability to him and give us stability for our group as well,” Gutekunst said regarding the ongoing negotiations.

Love did still attend the training camp and was seen with head coach Matt LaFleur supporting his teammates.
