Milwaukee Brewers Break Losing Streak
Milwaukee Brewers Break Losing Streak
With 15 more games left to the season and the Brewers 1.5 games behind Pittsburgh for the second wild-card spot, which is far to fall from where they were earlier in the season. However, they have one monkey off their back with the end of their four-game losing streak with a 4-1 home victory over Miami last night 09-10.
In case you were one of the few people not watching let me give you the highlights.
- Wily Peralta pitched the 4-1 win over the Marlins @ Miller Park, allowing only a single run, scattering five hits with three walks and five strikeouts, improving to 16-10
- Matt Clark, in only his second major league start, hit his first major league home run in the seventh
- Carlos Gomez stole his 30th base of the season and 200th of his career. Along with Paul Moilitor he is the only other player in Brewer history to steal 30+ bases three times.
- Francisco Rodriguez earned his 40th save of the season, four more and he moves into 10th place on the all-time list.
